FITECOM was founded in 1993 by technical professionals with long experience in the main sectors of the textile industry. The company is located in Covilhã and has a factory of approximately 20,000 m² with its own departments for yarn spinning, weaving, finishing, and dyeing. The fabrics are mainly made of 100% wool and wool blends.

FITECOM is committed to customer satisfaction and to protecting the environment, as well as the safety and health of its employees, the local community in which it operates, and the users of its products. As part of its environmental responsibility, FITECOM has a solar panel installation that ensures electrical self-sufficiency during daytime and has recently installed a new wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), which will enable the recovery of approximately 60% of liquid production effluents as water reused in the manufacturing process.
