New Vocational Training for Sewing Machine Operators Launches in Stockholm Fashion District

We are proud to announce that the new national vocational training program “Sewing Machine Operator” has started in Stockholm Fashion District! Nordic Textile Academy moved into the Stockholm Showroom building on Augustendalsvägen earlier this fall and is now in full swing with the training. As one of Sweden’s leading meeting places for fashion and textiles, we are happy to contribute to the industry’s future talent pipeline. Together with Borås and Östersund, our fashion district in Nacka is now taking an important step to strengthen Swedish textile industry’s competitiveness and enable more local production.

Nordic Textile Academy’s education coordinator Marina Berggren enthusiastically reports: “We’re finally underway with the training in Nacka, we have a wonderful group of future sewing machine operators!”

Positive reports are also coming in from our sister locations: “It has been a wonderful introduction week with lots of good laughs. It’s a great and pleasant group where everyone is helpful, curious and positive.” – Education Coordinator in Borås, Ulrika Andersson

“The sewing machine operator training is now running in Östersund and it’s so exciting! We have a wonderful group getting ready to become the textile industry’s future colleagues.” – Education Coordinator in Östersund, Felicia Eriksson

As part of Stockholm Fashion District’s network, we welcome companies to get involved in the training. Are you interested in offering LIA (Lärande i Arbete)? Contact Nordic Textile Academy: 033-41 01 07, info@nordiskatextilakademin.se
