This August, Fashion Week Trade will welcome a new addition to the fair – the first-ever Ukrainian pavilion, bringing together a selection of Ukrainian fashion and accessories brands looking to expand in the Nordic market.
Ukraine’s fashion industry is known for combining high-quality manufacturing with creativity and innovation. More than 2,500 textile and apparel companies operate in the country, and an estimated 80–90 per cent of textile production is exported. Companies are also bringing their own brands to international markets.
For many Ukrainian brands, international markets have become increasingly important. While many continue to operate under exceptionally challenging circumstances, they are also reaching new customers abroad. The pavilion showcases brands spanning contemporary fashion and accessories, each with its own design expression and unique story.
One of the brands exhibiting at Atelyé Ukraina is Fiskin, founded by Yuliia Buhlak. She believes Sweden is a natural fit for the brand:
“Sweden feels like a natural market for Fiskin because we share a love for minimalist, timeless design and exceptional craftsmanship. My background in fish biology inspired me to see the potential of fish leather from a different perspective. Today, we create luxury accessories through circular design and look forward to partnering with retailers who appreciate innovative materials and authentic stories.“

Another participating brand is 91LAB, founded by Tanya Abramova:
“With 35 years of experience in knitwear production, we’re proud to bring Ukrainian craftsmanship to the Swedish market.”
“For us, international partnerships are about finding people who share our commitment to quality, thoughtful design and long-term collaboration,” Tanya concludes.

Atelyé Ukraina is a collaboration between Sweden’s National Board of Trade, through Open Trade Gate Sweden, and Ukraine’s Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office. The collaboration aims to connect Ukrainian fashion companies with Swedish buyers and build lasting business relationships. The pavilion is a milestone in this broader initiative to build a stronger presence for Ukrainian fashion companies in Sweden and the wider Nordic market.
During Fashion Week Trade, you’ll find the Ukrainian Pavilion in Fair Hall A from 11–13 August. If you’d like to learn more about the initiative, you can do so here.
