DownloadNordic Fabric Fair Becomes an Arena for Cross-Industry Meetings – Bringing Together Fashion and Functional Textiles in a New Comprehensive Concept
The textile trade fair Nordic Fabric Fair returns in a new, expanded format with a broader textile segment, bringing together fashion, sport, outdoor, fitness, and workwear under one roof. The new concept is the result of a collaboration between the founders of Nordic Fabric Fair, Stockholm Fashion District, and Huginbiz®, partners of leading international trade fairs such as ISPO and Performance Days.
On December 8-9, the new Nordic Fabric Fair – Fashion & Function will open its doors in the distinctive brick premises of Nackastrandsmässan. The fair gathers international textile producers and industry suppliers alongside designers, buying teams, and product managers from across Northern Europe.
As a unified arena for fashion, sport, outdoor, fitness, and workwear, the concept offers a unique platform for discovering new business relationships, trends, technologies, and innovations. This makes the fair one of the first of its kind in the world, enabling synergies that contribute to increased growth and sustainable development within the textile industry.
“As both our culture and our climate in the Nordic countries reward a dress code combining fashion with function, we look forward to joining Stockholm Fashion District as co-organisers of Nordic Fabric Fair. We are very excited to launch the new addition with functional textiles and technologies. We have more than
20 years’ experience of representing international trade shows in the world of sport, outdoor and fitness, as well as functional textile sourcing fairs. To offer a business platform for all international suppliers in our network, as well as for the brand designers and product managers we work with here in the Nordics, is extremely motivating”, says Martin Kössler, CEO of Huginbiz® and founder of Scandinavian Outdoor Group.
“We are very much looking forward to welcoming more stakeholders to Stockholm Fashion District through a collaboration that feels both natural and exciting. It is timely to bring together an even larger part of the textile industry and strengthen this important arena for sourcing, knowledge exchange, and networking. Here, we are creating a unique opportunity to strengthen Sweden’s position at the forefront, particularly in sustainability and new innovations within both tech and textiles”, says Helena Waker, CEO of Stockholm Fashion District and Trade Partners Sweden.
