This is what is needed to make the Swedish fashion industry world-leading – read the new report here!
Stockholm Fashion District is a proud partner to a report that was presented during Almedalsveckan by Swedish Fashion Council together with Svensk Handel and TEKO. The report is focusing on the actions that are required for the Swedish fashion industry to become world-leading and you can take part in it in the article below.
The fashion industry is facing an extensive transformation driven by digitalization, consumers’ focus on sustainability and inclusion, continuous technological innovation, and new business models. Sweden’s unique conditions regarding sustainable innovation, entrepreneurship, and creative height mean that Swedish fashion has every opportunity to establish itself as world-leading. To succeed, however, the industry needs political support.
“In order to position Swedish fashion as a leader in the fashion industry of the future, we must make visible the transformation the industry is facing and measure the changes that are taking place. To know where we are going and how we will get there, we must first know where we are – Fashion Transformation is a first step in that work,” says Jennie Rosén, CEO of Swedish Fashion Council.
