Smart Textiles
Smart Textiles is part of the textile business area, within Science Park Borås, which brings together projects and platforms linked to the textile area. With the vision “A better world through textile innovations”, textile innovations are developed, made available and concretized to be used in innovative commercial products in unexpected ways. Our mission is to support the Swedish industry and through collaborations and innovations create more jobs in Sweden. We work mainly with projects in our three focus areas; Sustainable Textiles, Smart and Interactive Textiles and Industry 4.0.
With over 500 research and business projects since the start in 2006, Smart Textiles is not only recognized as an engine in the Swedish textile industry, but also established as an important international player – involved in several networks and EU collaborations.
Smart Textiles conducts its business in Textile Fashion Center in Borås, where the Smart Textiles Showroom with inspiring exhibitions is open for the public.
