Springyard is derived from the family name Brunngård. The Brunngård family, with a long history of entrepreneurship, originates from Sparsör outside Borås. Per-Ola Brunngård founded the company Brunngård in 1983.

Today, Springyard is the leading shoe care brand in the Nordic region with the product series Therapy, Active, and Quick Care.
